European Democracy Youth Network (EDYN)

Short Description:
The European Democracy Youth Network (EDYN) is a diverse network of young democratic leaders, including civic activists, politicians, journalists, and changemakers from Europe and the Western Balkans. EDYN empowers youth who are committed to democratic values, pluralism, and human rights by providing them with tools, resources, and a transnational community to collaboratively address democratic backsliding and civic apathy.

Geographical Scope:
30+ countries across Europe, including all Western Balkan states, the EU, Eastern Partnership countries, and the United States (as a supporting partner context)

  • Fellowship Program: Long-term development for future democratic leaders
  • Exchange Program: Regional placements and learning opportunities for civic-political cooperation
  • Seed Funding and Project Incubation: Supporting youth-led initiatives promoting democracy and civic participation
  • Training and Mentorship: Skills development in advocacy, leadership, and strategic communication
  • Policy advocacy and network-building events
