🛂 Travel & Visa Requirements

EU Citizens:
Citizens from EU countries (e.g. Croatia) do not need a visa to enter Slovenia. Entry is allowed with a valid ID card or passport.

Non-EU Balkan Citizens:
Citizens of North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Albania can enter Slovenia visa-free for short stays up to 90 days within a 180-day period.

Kosovo:
From 1 January 2024, Kosovo citizens are exempt from visa requirements for short stays in the Schengen Area, including Slovenia.

🛡️ Health Insurance

EU Citizens:
Should carry the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) for access to public health services under the same conditions as Slovenian citizens.

Non-EU Citizens:
Must obtain travel health insurance covering at least €30,000, including:

  • Emergency treatment
  • Medical evacuation
  • Repatriation
    This insurance is mandatory when applying for a Schengen visa.
