Short Description:

Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE) is a cross-border exchange programme initiated by the European Union in 2009. It offers new or aspiring entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn from experienced entrepreneurs running small businesses in other participating countries. The exchange aims to enhance entrepreneurial skills, foster international collaboration, and promote the growth of SMEs across Europe.

Geographical Scope:
The programme operates in over 45 countries, including all EU Member States and several non-EU countries such as Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Kosovo*, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine, and the United States.

Key Activities:

  • Facilitating 1 to 6-month exchanges between new and experienced entrepreneurs
  • Providing financial support to new entrepreneurs for travel and subsistence costs
  • Offering on-the-job training and mentoring
  • Enhancing market access and identifying potential partners

Eligibility:

  • New Entrepreneurs: Individuals planning to start a business or who have started one within the last three years.
  • Host Entrepreneurs: Experienced entrepreneurs who own or manage a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) in one of the participating countries.
