Youth 4 Inclusion, Equality & Trust (Y4IET)

Short Description:

The Youth 4 Inclusion, Equality & Trust (Y4IET) project is a regional initiative that empowers young people in the Western Balkans to become active agents of change by fostering inclusive narratives, promoting intercultural dialogue, and countering disinformation, hate speech, and gender-based stereotypes. The project equips youth with media literacy skills and supports their engagement in building social cohesion and trust across communities.

Geographical Scope:
Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia)

  • Capacity building in media and information literacy
  • Public storytelling and awareness campaigns led by youth
  • Inter-community trust-building activities
  • Regional forums and policy recommendations
  • Community-based youth projects promoting inclusion

 

Implementing Organizations:

  • Funded by the European Union
  • Implemented by UNDP North Macedonia in partnership with UNDP offices across the Western Balkans, and local CSOs and youth groups
